So the dragon finally topples and metaphysics is gone forever. -Stan Roberts

What they preach, they don't practice.
When either party preaches about getting jobs or creating jobs or going to work, it seems a bit hypocritical. For as much as Trump or the left would like us to have jobs so we can feed our families, I think many members of the American producing class want not only work, but the regard those who preach about getting us to work receive. If we learned anything from the 1960's psychocrat revolution, is that many sons and daughters of the working class wanted more than just an a decent paying job with little regard as their parents received. They wanted to be regarded as the professional intellectuals were regarded. We will not get that type of regard in this social order. A change needs to happen because if all able bodied person put their productive labor first in their lives, no need for us to work 40, 50 60 hours a week to provide the necessities of life for ourselves. We too, would like to enjoy some of the more pleasurable things in life, such as the arts, and sports. As it is now, few adult workers have the time or energy to do such things. Entertainment and sports should not be in the hands of a few, but as part of the daily lives of all peoples. So when I hear those in the ivory tower or the White House say, " we need to give the people, jobs," I say to myself, "you should get a real job first, and then you will have a need that all of us get to play a bit." Only then will those preaching to us about jobs will then have real need to get paid what we are worth or we get the regard that we have earned because they will be one of us. |
